Trevor has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Therapy with special emphasis in Narrative Therapy.  He currently lectures on Spiritual Direction for Stellenbosch University, Fuller Seminary, the international Renovaré Institute and the Jesuit Institute of South Africa. 
Trevor is passionate about spiritual direction and pastoral ministry. For the past 40 years Trevor has worked as a local pastor, lectured in America and written and published many books.

Nicky has a Mth Pastoral Therapy (Cum Laude), a BA Hons (Psych) degree, a DIP in Pastoral Narrative Training and is currently undertaking her PhD in Pastoral Family Therapy at the Pretoria University.  Nicky is also a prayer guide and spiritual director. Nicky is passionate about narrative practices and story gathering as well as spiritual formation/pastoral care concerns of all faith communities. ​Nicky has over 20 years’ experience in counselling, workshops and training.

Nicole Dickson

Deidri is a Pastoral Counselor with eight years experience in narrative counseling. She has a DIP in Pastoral Narrative Therapy and is currently furthering her studies in Psychology.  She is passionate about encouraging children and parents and offering comfort and emotional support to those who are overwhelmed by the challenges of life. She facilitates Narrative training courses and workshops, Sacred Conversations courses,  and the Crossroads SA Program

Dean is one of the Institute's Trustees and a long-time member of our circle of care. Dean is an Advocate in private practice and joined the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2010. He admits to being fascinated by the stories of the people he meets. Dean participated in the very first Sacred Conversations course we offered in 2012 and he has been a part of the team ever since. He brings a sharp business acumen, care and a great sense of humour to the team.

Deidri Jones

Anne is a spiritual director and accompanies people in the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius. Anne is a prayer guide and does supervision for other prayer guides. Her 5 years of training in spiritual formation was through the Jesuit Institute of South Africa. Anne completed one of the first Narrative training courses held at Northfield Methodist Church and is passionate about ‘walking alongside’ people, helping them to deepen their relationship with God.

Heather Griffin

Heather Griffin is a Spiritual Director and Prayer Guide, trained by the Jesuit Institute. She completed one of the first Narrative Training courses offered at Northfield Methodist Church in Benoni.  She is passionate about listening to people and walking besides them – as they discover God in all things.

She loves introducing people to silence and solitude and new ways of being with God, growing and deepening their friendship with God.

Nsamu Moonga

Nsamu is a music therapist and holds a Diploma in Music Teaching, Counselling Pyschology and Sacred Earth.  He has also completed specific study with regards to HIV/AIDS and Counseling, a BA in Psychological Counselling and a Masters in Music Therapy.  Nsamu's interests range from adventure and long-distance running, to reading, writing, dancing and singing; embracing the African spirit in all he does.

Lauren Robertson

Lauren has a Bachelor of Education (Hons) Degree. After enjoying 28 years of a rewarding career as an English teacher, she left the teaching profession to nurture her spiritual growth and pursue a career in counselling. She is currently completing the 2-year University of Pretoria course in Pastoral Narrative Therapy through Coram Deo. Lauren is passionate about young people and aspires to work in the Narrative space with children and teenagers.

Natasha has a Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Theology from the Bible Institute of South Africa, a Higher Certificate in in Christian Counselling from the South African Theological Seminary, and she has completed the Introduction to Pastoral Narrative Therapy Training.  

Natasha has 13 years experience in  children, youth and young adult ministry.  She is passionate about the Lord and His church, helping people navigate the burdens of life and helping them grow closer to God.

Natasha Bonow

Jean is a Psychology graduate, mental health advocate and former teacher. He is passionate about the Psychology of gratitude, well-being and spreading Mental Health Literacy. Jean is fond of the existentialist theories of Viktor Frankl and exploring the intersection between Psychology and Spirituality. He is well-travelled and has a keen interest in foreign languages, cultures and World Religions.

Tamaryn Imrie

Tamaryn is a full - time artist and counseller using mainly artistic expression as a modality with a holistic approach to mental, emotional and spiritual well - being. She writes and runs workshops, presented by a love for people, community care and teaching. Her hobbies include reading, writing, painting and conversation.

Sue Skidmore

Sue has a Masters Degree in Pastoral Narrative Therapy UNISA and a Masters Degree in Education NOTINGHAM.  While living in South Africa for 16 years, Trevor Hudson and Sue set up the Pastoral Care Centre at Northfield Methodist Church.  Since returning to the UK in 2010, she has worked in a local church as a Pastoral Worker and helped dying people to tell their life stories.  Sue’s passion is people, supporting them as they explore the connection between their faith and their own life stories.

David was born Morecambe, Lancashire, and grew up in Malawi. He is now retired with his wife Joan in Ashford Kent, having spent 48 years in ministry in the Anglican Church in Southern Africa. He has postgraduate degrees in Psychology and Pastoral (Narrative) Therapy.
